Steve Hank received his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA in Sports Business from Arizona State University. As the Executive Director of "The Shirt" project, a fundraiser done in conjunction with the Notre Dame Football Program and the Athletic Department, Steve increased unit sales over 600% in his first year to over 43,000 units while increasing profits over 700%. Upon graduation, Steve joined the Chicago Bulls Professional Basketball Team where he marketed print and arena advertising and assisted in the development of promotional and signage packages. This position led him to Leo Burnett USA managing sports media affairs for Reebok International. At Leo Burnett, Steve directed Reebok's media campaign for the Atlanta Olympics along with supervision of the media for the Sports & Fitness and Outdoor product lines. In 1996, Steve became President of Direct Satellite Services and Home Theater, a nationwide satellite television direct marketing firm. At Direct Satellite, he improved the company's DIRECTV sales ranking from dead last (#26,000) to #37 within two years by focusing on database marketing and targeted sales programs. A desire to return to collegiate athletics has led Steve to the Intercollegiate Athletics Department at Arizona State University where he directs all Marketing, CRM and revenue generation efforts. Steve lives in Chandler, Arizona with his wife Stefanie and their two children, Michelle and Sydney. |
